It is believed that Lustrian mage priests accept the degenerated population of the Dragon Islands as part of the Great Plan. Despite this, the blessings of the Slann priests still lingers on the islands, making it hard for anyone to cast magic. During the Great Catastrophe, the local Saurus and Skinks lost their Slann masters and have degenerated into feral creatures that viciously attack anyone that enters their territory.
